One irony of the destruction of slavery by the US Civil War is that slavery in the 1800s revolved around people forcing others to work for their room and board so the Masser could live in relative luxury and power. Much of this has been replaced by slavery of another sort :

People, who wish not to work, submit to the voluntary servitude of voting for Democrat Massers who promise to maintain their room, board, education, child care, health care and retirement from  cradle to grave.

The Democrat Masser's pay for these promises thru various "tax the rich" tax schemes.  Working familes are "enslaved" for months each year pay taxes to support handouts before buying their freedom for the rest of the year.

Turning slavery on its head.

To make sure the enslavement of future generations goes on smoothly, much of the children's "education" focuses upon their duty to be a happy member of the Masser's all inclusive collectivist schemes.

To perpetuate Masser's power, any Social Security surplus is spent with an IOU left in a mythical 'Trust Fund'.  The IOUs will be paid by  the children as they come of working age. The children never have a vote in this -- they are too young to vote.

Question : When did the Masser repeal the phrase in the Preamble of the Constitution that says the duty of our nation and its elected officials is to
"..., secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, ... "?

The public and political silence on this final point is about as loud as one hand clapping in an uninhabited canyon.  It just goes to show how well the above scheme to turn slavery on it head has has worked on a disinterested populace who apparently have chosen addiction to the opiate of socialism over freedom.
