• Rubber Dams are used to isolate the teeth or tooth being worked on from the rest of the mouth, saliva and bacteria. Tooth isolation is required for root canal therapy.
  • The Clinic generally only uses rubber dams for root canals.
  • The Clinic frequently uses it’s Isolite suction system during restorative procedures instead of the rubber dam.
  • The Isolite reduce exposures to the amalgam particles during filling replacement procedures.
  • The Isolite combines a bite block, light and suction device into a single unit.
  • Many patients find having their fillings done with the isolite to be easier than without because
    • the bite block and constant suction keeps all the junk from being swallowed;
    • the fillings frequently take less time to do.
