4. This form calculates the
Amount
of your tax dollars you can direct to each Federal
Activity
. The total must equal
100%
before you can submit it (assuming that feature is available) and the amount must be within the ranges provided by Congress and the President. Example : If you owe $1000 in taxes and enter 18% for National Debt then (18% of $1000) or $180 goes to pay off the National Debt and interest on that debt.
5. Most Federal
Activities
of can be provided by accredited charity, private sector, and State providers. The more that is sent to these various optional sources, the smaller the federal government would be, without reducing the benefits offered by the Social MarketPlace. Click on any Activity for more information about it. You may click on the
big, middle or small government
buttons at the top of the page to automate the process. Alternatively, you may enter a portion of the
Amount
of your for that Activity to go directly to that
Charity (or accredited provider)
. (xxxxx means not available). If the TDB were ever fully implemented, you might be able to attach a check for each accredited charity (or accredited provider) you have chosen and have that total amount deducted from your federal tax bill. Alternately, the government could put your dollars up for bids in the Social MarketPlace for those activities.
